The RAD78 radar sensor combines maximum measurement precision with robust technology and simple integration. With a linearity of ±0.7 mm, a repeat accuracy of ±0.1 mm and a measuring rate of up to 500 Hz, the sensor is ideal for fast and precise applications. Thanks to the PROFINET interface, an integrated web server and an intuitive user interface (GUI), the RAD78 can be seamlessly integrated into control concepts.

The sensor is particularly versatile thanks to its narrow aperture angle of ±1.5° and the option of being used as a stand-alone solution or in system solutions. For example, two RAD78 sensors can be intelligently combined to enable high-precision width or profile measurements of steel slabs.
